Fort Worth-based Logistics Experts Announce Major Expansion
WDS Logistics territory now to cover most of South-Central United States
FORT WORTH, TX, JULY 27, 2020 – WDS Partners, LP (WDS Logistics) announced today they are expanding operations into Oklahoma, Arkansas, and beyond. The company’s current footprint covers most of the state of Texas and western Louisiana. The new territory will stretch almost 700 miles from the Texas Panhandle to Memphis, Tennessee, as well as extending into portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Missouri.
WDS Logistics was awarded an exclusive contract to service the area from a Fortune 500 customer. “We are honored and thrilled about winning the new contract,” said Brian Enright, President, “but are equally excited about the opportunity this provides to expand our service offerings to ALL our current customers and hopefully forge some new relationships as well!”
The addition of Oklahoma and Arkansas is not so much an “expansion” as it is a “return.” “Our predecessor company, WTS, used to operate locations in Oklahoma City and Little Rock,” explains Enright. “In fact, the current manager of our San Antonio/Austin location used to run our OKC location. We haven’t had a presence in those states since 1997, but there are several of us still around that remember those days very well. It’s exciting to be going back.”
WTS was sold in 1997 by the Siratt family to Burnham Van Lines, but after Burnham filed for bankruptcy in 2001, the same family opened WDS Logistics and resumed operations throughout Texas. Don Siratt founded the original logistics company in 1966. Today, the company is owned by Don’s sons, Donnie and Colby Siratt. “Our Dad used to tell some great stories about growing the business throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s,” said Donnie Siratt. “We can’t wait to now share that experience; he would definitely be proud.”
